Rhinoplasty, also known as a “nose job” by patients, is performed to enhance the proportions of the nose and to alter its appearance for aesthetic purposes. It can also correct impaired breathing caused by structural defects in the nose. More specifically rhinoplasty can treat nose size in relation to facial balance, nose width at the bridge or in the size and position of the nostrils, nose profile with visible humps or depressions on the bridge, nasal tip that is enlarged or bulbous, drooping, upturned or hooked as well as nasal asymmetry.
Balloon Sinuplasty is a minimally invasive sinus surgery procedure performed by ENT doctors that opens sinus passages to relieve sinus pressure associated with chronic sinusitis. The Balloon Sinuplasty unlike traditional sinus surgery requires no cutting. There is no removal of bone and tissue during the procedure. In Balloon Sinuplasty a small, balloon-like catheter is used to open up sinus passageways and facilitate drainage of the mucus that builds up in patients suffering from chronic sinusitis symptoms.
Once the sinus balloon is inflated, it restructures and widens the walls of the sinus passageway. Additionally, the inflated balloon helps to maintain the integrity of the sinus lining.
